NOTE : This article assumes that Apple AirPrint and Xerox Standard Accounting are already enabled on the device and working correctly NOTE : Device Firmware must be at 073.xxx.075.34540 or Higher for AirPrint functionality with Xerox Standard Accounting Create an Accounting User ID for the Mobile User (iOS 7 or 8) : NOTE : Users of iOS devices using iOS 9 or Higher can use normal Xerox Standard Accounting User ID's that are associated with the Default Group Account iOS 7 and iOS 8 devices send the unalterable accounting ID of mobile If the iOS device being used is running iOS 9 or later, and the Xerox Standard Account User ID's are configured for the Default Group Account, this step can be skipped. Configure Print Job Exceptions for IPP (AirPrint) users : Print using the accounting code from the iOS Device : Access CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS). Select the Properties tab. Select Login / Permissions / Accounting . Select Accounting Methods . Select Edit across from Users and Limits . Select Add New User . Enter a Display Name for the new user (ie: Mobile Users). Enter the User ID of mobile into the User Name (User ID) field in the Login Credentials section. Configure the limits for the new user in the Usage Limits section For Airprint, the most important field is number of Prints under the Black Impressions section. Select Apply to save changes. Access CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS). Select the Properties tab. Select Login / Permissions / Accounting . Select Accounting Methods . Select Edit across from Validation Policies / Print Job Exceptions . Select the Validate Accounting Code (User ID) dropdown and select Yes with Exceptions . Check the box next to IPP Exception Mode: Process IPP Jobs (includes Mopria jobs) under Exceptions for Jobs Not Containing an Accounting Code . Select the radio button next to the required option: Track IPP jobs with invalid accounting codes against the IPP Exception User and Account IDs : Use this option to allow print jobs with invalid accounting codes from IPP sources. Reject IPP jobs with invalid accounting codes : Use this option to reject print jobs with invalid accounting codes. Track IPP jobs with invalid accounting codes against the IPP Exception User and Account IDs : Use this option to allow print jobs with invalid accounting codes from IPP sources. Reject IPP jobs with invalid accounting codes : Use this option to reject print jobs with invalid accounting codes. Select Close to exit. Open the document within the App to be printed from. Select the Share button at the top. Select Print . Select Select Printer in the Printer section The iOS device will now search the network for printers that support AirPrint NOTE : The iOS device must be connected to the same network that the Printer is connected to Select the required printer. Select Options . Select Account . Enter in the Account ID for mobile users. NOTE : The account option is not available for iOS 7 and iOS 8 users and AirPrint will print to the default account of mobile . Select Print .
