The Fault Code 027-586 indicates that the user account being used to authenticate to the destination server has expired or the password that user account is using is no longer valid To update the username and password setting for the SMB template for the WorkCentre 6515, use the following steps: Access the printer's Embedded Web Server (Web Interface) by entering the IPv4 Address of the device in your web brower's address bar. Select the Log In button in the upper right corner in the Embedded Web server and sign in as the Administator. Click on Address Book . Click on the name of the address book entry that contains the SMB server configuration. Click on the SMB server entry located under Network (SMB). Ensure that the Login Name is correct for the Server The Login Name would be the user account name on the server that has full permissions to the destination folder (e.g.: the username and password used to sign into the Windows PC you would be scanning to) If the Login Name is correct, re-enter the password for that account in the Password and Retype Password fields. Click on OK to save the Address Book entry update.
