WARNING: The Fuser Unit may be very hot and should be handled with care! Use the lifting handle provided on the Top Cover to avoid any contact with hot surfaces during removal or replacement Avoid any contact with internal parts of the unit. Power off the printer and allow it to cool down for at least 15 minutes See the Related Content for additional information. Open the Bypass Tray (Paper Tray 5) by lowering it down. Lift up on the release lever on Cover A to open the cover. Rotate the two screws that are securing the Fuser Unit to the left until they are completely loosened. Grasp the two ring tabs on the left and right side of the Fuser Unit, and then pull the unit out of the printer. NOTE: To return the used Fuser Unit for recycling, follow the instructions included with the new unit If the instructions or shipping label are not available, click on the Recycling link under Related Content for additional information. Remove the new Fuser Unit from its packaging. Grasp the two ring tabs on the new unit, insert the unit into the printer, and then push it in until it locks into position. Rotate the two securing screws to the right until both screws are tightened. Close Cover A. Close the Bypass Tray. Power on the printer.
