Typically, Fault Code 018-772: "Shared Name Not Found in Server" is indicating that the VersaLink cannot find the SMB Share that it is trying to send the scan to More often than not, this is because the IP Address or Hostname of where the Share is located has changed or has been modified, or less commonly, has been removed Below are the instructions on how to modify the IP Address/Hostname in the VersaLink if the former issue is determined: Access the Printer's Embedded Web Server and Login as System Administrator . Navigate to the Address Book, then select the Contact entry exhibiting the problem. In the Contact Entry Edit window, select Network (SMB ). In the section listed as IP Address : Port (or Hostname, if the device is using a hostname to scan), ensure that the IPv4 Address listed is correct If not, edit the address to match that of the server the device is scanning to Click OK twice. Logout as the administrator Test scanning using that template to see if the issue persists.
