The printer is designed to function with minimal paper jams using Xerox supported paper Other paper types can cause jams If supported paper is jamming frequently in one area, clean that area of the paper path To avoid damage, always remove jammed paper carefully without tearing it Try to remove the paper in the same direction it normally moves through the printer Even a small piece of paper left in the printer can cause a jam Do not reload paper that has jammed. Common Paper Jam Correction: Ensure the Paper is Within Specification . in the required paper trays. Make sure paper had been Stored Correctly and the Moisture content level is not to High or Low. Use a New Ream of Paper and if using the same paper Flip over and Flex the paper in the paper tray. Make Sure the Paper is Not Loaded Above the Maximum Fill Line in the Paper Tray. Make Sure the Paper Tray Guides are Against the Edges of the Paper and Locked Into Position. Most importantly Make Sure the Paper Tray Settings are Properly Configured and Adjust, as Required . After trying the solutions below: If the problem persists, contact Support for additional assistance. Clear the Paper Jam in Tray 1 or 2 Clean the TAR 1 and 2 Sensors in the Left Side Door Verify the Printer Returns to a Ready State and If Necessary, Upgrade the System Software Perform a Software Reset Using the All Software Option Power Off the Printer, Wait Two Minutes, then Power On the Printer
