Press the Power/ Wake button on the Control Panel. The paper tray settings must match the job requirements in order for the job to print Paper tray settings consist of paper size, paper type, paper color and paper orientation If any of these settings are different than the job requirements, the job will not print. The paper trays may also be fully adjustable or dedicated paper trays Fully adjustable paper trays allow you to change the paper size, type, color and orientation at any time Dedicated paper trays do not allow you to change the settings once they are set unless System Administrator mode is entered to modify the default settings. If a paper tray is opened and closed and the paper tray is a fully adjustable paper tray, a confirmation screen will be displayed on the Touch Screen Review the paper tray settings and confirm the settings if correct or modify the settings as required for the paper loaded in the paper tray. If a paper tray is opened and closed and the paper tray is a dedicated paper tray, the screen displays information identifying the paper size, type and color of paper that should be loaded in the paper tray. If the wrong size paper is loaded or the paper tray guides are not properly set, a warning message is displayed on the Touch Screen Intervention is required to adjust the paper tray guides or the default paper tray settings. Certain types of paper / media like heavyweight or transparencies require more time to print than other types of paper/ media If you are using heavyweight paper or transparencies, expect the print times to be slower. Ensure that the tray settings (size, type, color, orientation) and print driver settings are properly set The device is functioning within specifications so service intervention is not required. Items to consider about the original document: To improve the print speed: If you are unable to reduce the file size or complexity of the job, expect the job to be slower printing. For additional information, click on Check the Supply Status. NOTE : To search on a fault code / status code, enter one code at a time exactly as it is displayed. NOTE : Fault codes / Status codes are displayed on the Control Panel Touch Screen or the Embedded Web Server in one of the the following formats: Embedded Web Server: a 2-digit number followed by a 3-digit number and then a 2-digit number For example: xx-xxx-xx At the Machine [Fault History]: a 3-digit number followed by a 3 digit number and then a 2 digit number For example: xxx.xxx.xx To display fault codes / status codes on the Touch Screen: To display fault codes / status codes using the Embedded Web Server: Touch Device . Touch Paper Trays . Make note of the paper tray status. Touch X . To return to the Home screen, press the Home button. Access the Embedded Web Server For additional information, click on Access and Login or Logout as System Administrator at the Control Panel or Embedded Web Server (EWS). Click the Home tab. Scroll down to the Trays section. The paper size, type, color and orientation for each tray is displayed. If the settings need to be modified, see the section below. The larger the original file size is, the longer it will take to print. The more complex the original file is, the longer it will take to print. If there are many images and / or fine details in the original file, the longer it will take to print. If possible, break the job up into multiple smaller jobs. If possible, remove unnecessary images and fine details. At the printer control panel, press the Home button. Touch Device > Notifications Current alerts will be displayed. Touch X to exit. Open a web browser and enter the IP Address of the printer in the Address field then press Enter on the keyboard The Embedded Web Server will be displayed. Click the Home tab. Scroll to the Notifications section A message and the status code will be displayed.
