Do not open the document feeder cover while a job is running as this will cause jams Wait until the job completes before opening the cover. Clear the jam in the document feeder. If necessary, use a sheet of cardstock or heavyweight paper to clear the jam. Make sure you are using originals in good condition and that the paper edge guides are set correctly for your originals. Clean the scanner, document handler and feed rollers. Check the long-paper sensor is not covered or being "tripped" by a bright light. The long-paper sensor on the document feeder paper extension should not be covered Make sure there is nothing covering the sensor (such as another document). Reseat the document feeder connector cable. Power off the printer. Locate the connector It is a cable located at the back of the DADF that is connected to the machine with a connector that has two hand screws. Unscrew the hand screws and disconnect the DADF connector completely. Wait a few seconds and reconnect the DADF connector to the machine Make sure the screws are tighten securely. Power on the printer and retry your print job. Power off the printer. Locate the connector It is a cable located at the back of the DADF that is connected to the machine with a connector that has two hand screws. Unscrew the hand screws and disconnect the DADF connector completely. Wait a few seconds and reconnect the DADF connector to the machine Make sure the screws are tighten securely. Power on the printer and retry your print job. If the problem persists, contact Support for additional assistance.
