An RFID card reader Installed on devices may have custom programming loaded onto the card readers Since the default programming for RFID card readers supports over 25 different RFID card types, you may choose to custom-program the card readers to a select few (or even only one) specific RFID card type. In such cases, you either created a custom configuration file ("bix") extension and loaded It onto the card reader This "bix" configuration file is created using a tool called "AppBlaster", provided by the RFID Card reader supplier The latest version of the Elatec RFID Card Reader "Dev Pack" can be requested from Elatec see the Related Content for the link, or by emailing ELATEC's support team directly at support-RFID@elatec.com and simply requesting the latest Dev Pack. Once the Dev Pack is downloaded, you can re create the " bix" file using version 4.07a (or higher) of AppBlester The resulting "bix" file can then be downloaded on both the MultiTech and the MultiTech 2 models of the RFID Card Reader.
