A warning appears on the control panel when supplies near their replacement time Verify that you have replacements on hand It is important to order these items when the messages first appear to avoid interruptions to your printing An error message appears on the control panel when supplies must be replaced. CAUTION: Use of non-Xerox supplies is not recommended The Xerox Warranty, Service Agreement, and Total Satisfaction Guarantee do not cover damage, malfunction, or degradation of performance caused by use of non-Xerox supplies, or the use of Xerox supplies not specified for this printer The Total Satisfaction Guarantee is available in the United States and Canada Coverage could vary outside these areas Please contact your Xerox representative for details. You can check the status and percentage of life remaining for your printer supplies at the control panel or from the Embedded Web Server When printer supplies near their replacement time, warning alerts appear on the control panel.  You can customize the alerts that appear on the control panel and configure email alert notifications. To check the supplies status at the control panel : To check the supplies status using the Embedded Web Server : To set a Low Supply Warning: You can set the device to display a warning on the control panel when supplies reach a low level To view status information for the printer supplies, touch Device > Supplies . To view details about a specific toner cartridge, including the part number for reordering, touch the required item. To return to the Supplies screen, touch X . To return to the Device screen, touch X . Access the Embedded Web Server and login as a System Administrator Click on  Home . Scroll to the Supplies section and click the Details button. To view details, click  Details  at the bottom of the screen. To return to the previous screen, click  Close . Log out as the administrator when finished. Access the Embedded Web Server and login as a System Administrator In the Embedded Web Server, click Properties→General Setup Click Notification Settings→Control Panel Alerts To display low supply warnings on the control panel, select Display Low Supply Warnings on the device's touch screen To display a low toner warning on the control panel, for Toner, select Show Warning In the Days Remaining area, for each supply (toner, drum, transfer roll, belt cleaner), select when you want the device to display an alert The range is 1–20 days.  Click Apply . Log out as the administrator when finished.
