Note : Before solving the problem, print the Print Quality Test Pages From the control panel, navigate to Settings > Troubleshooting > Print Quality Test Pages For non-touch screen printer models, press OK to navigate through the settings. Check if the printer is using a genuine and supported Xerox toner cartridge. Note : If the cartridge is not supported, then install a supported one For more information, refer to Replace the Toner Cartridge. Print the document. Note : If the print is still mottled, check the next step. Check the printer for leaked toner contamination. Note : If the printer free of leaked toner, check the next step. Check the status of the imaging unit. Note : From the home screen, touch Settings > Reports > Device > Device Statistics. From the Supply Information section of the pages printed, check the status of the imaging unit. Note : If the imaging unit is near end of life, check the next step. Replace the imaging unit For more information, refer to Replace the Imaging Unit. Print the document. If the problem persists, contact Support for additional assistance.
