Overview

If you manually add a certificate to the vCenter Server JRE truststore or modify the /etc/hosts file when setting up ADFS, the changes are not preserved after restoring and might cause ADFS logins to fail. For more information, see Import the Trusted Certificate of an External Identity Provider . Add the necessary host name mappings back to the /etc/hosts file after restoring your vCenter Server Appliance.

Add the ADFS certificate to the vCenter Server JRE truststore after restoring your vCenter Server Appliance
