After an upgrade operation, you might not see the Lifecycle Manager tab in the vSphere Client or in the main menu. In the Tasks view, you see an error such as Error downloading plug-in. URL is unreachable. status code: 503, reason phrase: Service Unavailable VMware vSphere Lifecycle Manager . The issue occurs when immediately after the upgrade you log in to the vSphere Client before all the vCenter services, including the vSphere Lifecycle Manager backend service, are started.
Log out and log in to the vSphere Client.
