When attempting to access or edit the page for an Application or Desktop in Horizon Console the page fails to load. The following error is observed in the Horizon Connection Server debug logs: 2022-01-01T23:59:59.418-05:00 ERROR (278C-0AE0) <ajp-nio-127.0.0.1-8009-exec-13> [GlobalAssignmentUtil] Global entitlement dn must be present in global assignment: 95b27064-4204-4aef-99d5-a37217df0d31
This issue is caused by state entries in the Global Adam Database that are missing the global entitlement attribute.
To resolve this issue, use the following steps to connect to the Global Adam Instance and verify the object that caused the error. Log in to one of the Connection Servers as Domain Administrator.Click Start > Windows Administrative Tools > ADSI EditIn the console window, right-click ADSI Edit and click Connect toIn the Name field type: View Global ADAM Database (or any other name). In the field below Select or type a Distinguished Name or Naming Context, type: dc=vdiglobal,dc=vmware,dc=intSelect Select or type a domain or server. In the field below Select or type a domain or server, type: localhost:22389Click OKClick View ADAM Database [localhost:22389] to expandClick DC=vdiglobal,dc=vmware,dc=int to expandCreate a new Query by right clicking on Connected DBName the query: CN Search (or any other name)For the root of search field click Browse and choose the top of the global adam database treeIn the query field copy the string from the error and append it with "CN=". Verify that pae-LocalEntitlementDN exists and only pae-GlobalEntlementDN is missing or not set. If so, that entry has become stale and can be deleted.Perform this operation for each ERROR entry in the debug log until all stale entries have been removed.
