When using vRA 8.1 product UI, the web browser sends outgoing GET requests to https://vcsa.vmware.com/ph/api/ui/send
This happens because the browser capture telemetry is not controlled by the 'vracli ceip' configuration on vRA 8.1.
To resolve the issue, update to vRA 8.1.0 Patch 1 available under the VMware Downloads .
To workaround the issue, fix the browser capture telemetry to observe the CEIP configuration by running the following procedure on all vRA nodes: Create environment backup (or snapshots)Log in to console or SSHIn /opt/charts/ui/charts/httpd/templates/configmap.yaml, replace line 15 with the following line: {{- if eq .Values.global.enableTelemetry "true" }} Run deploy.sh again. During this process vRA services will experience downtime. Note: Before step 2, please make a backup of /opt/charts/ui/charts/httpd/templates/configmap.yaml that is not located in /opt/charts folder. You can use the /root folder for this. Please make sure the formatting is preserved as well.
