AWCM Connectivity is Failing for Android devices
It is expected behavior to see AWCM Status : Disconnected on the console if we have the following scenario: AirWatch Agent is running on the device in the background. The battery setting is set to Mid/Max Power Saving Mode under Settings > Device Maintenance > Battery. The reason for this is that when we set the battery setting to Mid/Max Power Saving Mode, the OS defaults the Background Network Usage to 'OFF' which typically means that if the agent is running in the background, then the app would not connect to the network which is why AWCM status would show disconnected on the console. One way would be to bring back the app in the foreground which is when the AWCM status should change back to connected in sometime based on the battery setting on the device. There are two ways to avoid this situation: Have the Power Saving Mode turned OFF completely. If we need the Power Saving Mode is turned on, then we need to customize the specific Power Saving Mode settings to allow network monitoring when an app runs in the background. This can be done by clicking on the bar which says 'MID'/'MAX' and then hit Customize and enable the required value. (Attached screenshots below)
