Customers with Managed Hosting Workspace ONE UEM environments can request a version upgrade or a patch upgrade to the latest version for their environment through the My Workspace ONE portal. Managed Hosting customers may want to utilize this tool in the following scenarios: A new console version has been released for the Managed Hosting environments and customers would like to have it deployed to their environment so it is kept up-to-date as per best practice. A patch is available that serves as a fix version for a product defect that customers are currently impacted by. Using the Managed Hosting SaaS Upgrade Scheduler, customers can manage Upgrade scheduling, rescheduling and cancellation if needed. For details on how customers may be notified of the current Workspace ONE UEM upgrade status via the My Workspace ONE portal and notification emails, please view this resource: Workspace ONE UEM Upgrade Status Notification Email. Note: FedRAMP customers cannot utilize the Managed Hosting SaaS Upgrade Scheduler at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Managed Hosting SaaS Upgrade Scheduler The Upgrade Scheduler provides availability of standard environment upgrade time-slots, in real time. Supported standard upgrade time-slots are: Monday through Friday 1:00 AM to 5:00 AM (EDT/EST) 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM (EDT/EST)11:00 AM to 3:00 PM (EDT/EST)2:00 PM to 6:00 PM (EDT/EST) Sunday through Thursday 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM (EDT/EST) Note: All times are noted in Eastern Time Zone, USA. The tool allows customers to choose from any major or patch release higher than the current version of their environment. Note: If customers find their environment is not listed on the My company page as expected, they should refer to this resource: My Workspace ONE UEM Environment is not displayed on the My Company page within the My Workspace ONE portal. If customers encounter additional issues when accessing and using the Scheduler, they should contact Workspace ONE Support and submit a Support request via My Workspace ONE portal to schedule their upgrade. Weekend Off-Hour Upgrades Upon request, VMware may provide after-hours weekend upgrade windows. Such after-hours windows are subject to additional costs. Customers should contact their Account Representative for more details. Supported weekend upgrades windows are: Friday 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM (EDT/EST)Saturday 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM (EDT/EST)Sunday 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM (EDT/EST) Note: All times are noted in Eastern Time Zone, USA. Requesting a Major Version and Patch Version Upgrade Customer Administrators (approved Support contacts) of the My Workspace ONE portal who are not on the latest version of VMware Workspace ONE can make an upgrade request using the Upgrade Scheduler tool. 1. Login the My Workspace ONE PortalFirst, log into the My Workspace ONE portal and navigate to the My Company page.2.2. Select the Version Upgrade type The My Company page will show buttons to request upgrades for eligible environments. The request process can be started by selecting the "Schedule a Major Version Upgrade" or "Schedule a Patch Version Upgrade" button on the corresponding environment. 3. Select your Upgrade Version <Major Version Upgrade>Select the version of VMware Workspace ONE that the environment needs to be upgraded to from the drop-down menu. If the specific version is known, it can be searched in the search box.<Patch Version Upgrade>The latest cumulative DLL for the environment version will be applied to the requested environment. If a custom patch version upgrade is needed, please file a Support request via My Workspace ONE portal to schedule the patch version upgrade. 4. Select the Upgrade Date and Time Slot Next, select an available slot from the displayed calendar. For more details on the standard upgrade slots, refer to the VMware Workspace ONE UEM SaaS Overview.Once the version has been selected and the requested slot specified, confirm these details by selecting the "Yes, This Is What I Want" button. Confirming this will reserve the slot.<Major Version Upgrade> <Patch Version Upgrade> 5. Upgrade Scheduled and Confirmed After the Major Version Upgrade or Patch Version Upgrade has been scheduled, the MyCompany page will display details of the scheduled upgrade, as well as allow you to reschedule or cancel the upgrade. Administrators in Workspace ONE UEM Console will receive the upgrade scheduled email notification.My Workspace ONE portal users will view the alert to notify them for an upcoming scheduled upgrade on the My Company page:Administrators in Workspace ONE UEM Console will receive an upgrade reminder email 3 days before the upgrade scheduled date. <Major Version Upgrade> <Patch Version Upgrade> Upgrade Status When the upgrade is started, completed, delayed, cancelled or rollback, a corresponding alert will be displayed for the environment on My Company page and the notification email will be sent out to the administrators on the Workspace ONE UEM console. Rescheduling an Upgrade <Rescheduling a Major Version Upgrade> <Rescheduling a Patch Version Upgrade> If you choose to reschedule the upgrade, you will be taken back to the scheduling page, where you will have the option to select a different version and a different time-slot.Confirming will reserve the newly selected slot, and make the previous slot available for scheduling again.After the upgrade has been rescheduled successfully, the original alert will be resolved and a new alert will be created. Canceling an Upgrade <Canceling a Major Version Upgrade> <Canceling a Patch Version Upgrade> If you choose to cancel the scheduled slot, you will be prompted to confirm that the slot should be cancelled.My Company page will display the following alert and the notification email will be sent out to the administrators on the Workspace ONE UEM console.
