Workspace ONE UEM can configure the F5 VPN client when the F5 Access application is added as a public app. If certificate-based authentication is being used, follow the steps outlined under Creating a credential payload. Otherwise, skip ahead to Setup F5 using App Configuration.
How to create a Credential profile Navigate to Devices > Profiles & Resources > Profiles > Add > Add Profile > Android.Configure the General profile settings including the name for the profile and assign it to smart group(s).Select the Credentials tab and upload the necessary certificates.Select Save & Publish to distribute the certificates to devices. How to setup F5 using App Configuration Navigate to Apps & Books > List View > Public.Select Add Application and select Android from the Platform field.Search for F5 within the managed Google Play iframe and approve permissions for F5 to add the app into the Workspace ONE UEM Console.Under the Application Configuration tab, select Configure next to VPN Configurations to configure VPN connections for F5. After configuring F5 and assigning the app under the Distribution tab, click Create and then Publish the app. Additional steps for per app VPN configuration App Configuration: When configuring the app, add a list of apps that will use per-app VPN in the Allowed apps field. Custom Profile: Navigate to Devices > Profiles & Resources > Profiles > Add > Add Profile.Select Android.Configure the General TabProvide a profile name and assign the profile using smart groups.In the Custom Settings tab, paste the following: <characteristic type="com.airwatch.android.androidwork.app:com.f5.edge.client_ics" uuid="2bcc98c6-a25f-47dc-b237-e175f2133468"> <parm name="EnableAlwaysOnVPN" type="boolean" value="True"/></characteristic> Click Save and Publish. Additional steps if certificates are used for authentication App configuration: Enter the friendly name of the certificate in the Client Certificate field.This friendly name is shown to the user by F5. The end user will have to select this certificate when prompted by the OS. The end user flow is shown below. In this example, the value provided was certificate xyz. Note: All the configurations mentioned in this article are defined by the F5 vendor or carrier.
