Cannot rename a vDS uplink fort Renaming a vDS uplink port fails You see the error: Uplink name <name> is in use by the teaming policy defined at DVPort <name> This error is reported when all hosts are removed from the dvSwitch. In the vSphere Client logs, you see entries similar to:[:ShowExcp:M: 6] Reconfigure vSphere Distributed Switch: The resource 'dvUplink 1' is in use. This problem occurs when there is a mismatch between the ordering of the VPX_UPLINK_TEAMING table and the VPX_DVS_UPLINK table containing the dvUplink labels.
This issue is resolved in vCenter Server 5.5. You can download the vCenter Server 5.5 from the VMware Download Center.
