In certain rare circumstances, a failed backup retry session for a Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows job operating in Managed by backup server mode may be reported as a Success. Impacted Configuration Veeam Backup & Replication 12 (build 12.0.x) Deployed. Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows operating in Managed Mode Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows job configured within Veeam Backup & Replication using Managed by backup server mode. Unstable network connection, which may cause backup job failures. Potentially affected jobs will be listed in the Veeam Backup & Replication Console under Jobs > Backup section, as the job type "Windows Agent Backup."
This issue was resolved in Veeam Backup & Replication 12.1. Upgrade Veeam Backup & Replication to the latest version. Should you have any concerns about existing backups, please, reach out to Veeam Technical Support.
