This article documents antivirus exclusions that may be created to reduce the impact that antivirus software has on the functionality of Veeam ONE. These antivirus exclusions may be applied to the Windows built-in antivirus or third-party antivirus software. Note: Antivirus will not always cause Veeam ONE functions to fail; antivirus software may also negatively impact performance.
On the Veeam ONE Server: C:\Program Files\Veeam\ C:\Program Files(x86)\Veeam\ C:\Program Files\Common Files\Veeam\ C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Veeam\ %programdata%\Veeam\ C:\Users\<Veeam ONE service account name>\AppData\Local\Veeam\Note: This folder may not exist for some deployments as it is only used by specific secondary Veeam ONE applications (e.g., Veeam Report Viewer). C:\PerfCache\This path for the Performance Cache may be customized in the Veeam ONE Settings Utility. The Performance Cache folder is used to store cache files, which are rapidly written, read, and deleted. Security software may detect these rapid changes and hinder Veeam ONE performance by locking the cache files.
