Including angle brackets ( < and > ) in a string field causes the entire field's contents to be omitted from the Activity Formatter.
Go to Incident > Open and open an incident that you can test with. Add the Short Description field in the Activity Formatter's filter. Update the Short
Field with the following text: To: Test Email <testemail@example.com> Save the Incident. Note that the Short Description field in the Activity Formatter does not show the new value. Test again with any text that doesn't use the < > symbols. Save the Incident again. Note that the Short Description field in the Activity Formatter now shows the new value.
