When migrating from Knowledge v2 to Knowledge v3, the existing kb_view page is renamed to kb_view_customer. The new kb_view_customer page is created as public. The kb_view_customer page is used to display articles in the default knowledge base. For more information, see Automatic Changes after KMv3 Migration (https://docs.servicenow.com/csh?topicname=c_KMv3ContinuingWithLegacyKnowledge.html&version=latest).
Upgrade from a pre Knowledge v3 instance (Eureka or earlier) to a Knowledge v3 instance (Fuji or later). Note that kb_view is updated to kb_view_customer and is set to be public, regardless of the prior access set for kb_view.
To prevent public access, update the access to kb_view_customer or disable the page. This issue has been identified as a defect and will be addressed in a future release or patch. Review the Fixed In section below to determine the versions that have a permanent fix.
