As part of the Next experience (Polaris) in Utah family, the "Follow" feature was reintroduced. https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB1277920 As a result of the sys_auto_flush job reactivation and the cascade delete option in the live_group_profile sys_auto_flush, records from the following tables were deleted (*) after upgrading to Utah upgrade (below Utah Patch 5). asmt_assessable_record chat_queue_entry chat_queue_entry_transfer collaborator live_group_member live_message live_table_notification pa_indicators sp_chat_conversation sys_cs_connect_handoff (*)Records are only deleted if the associated task or document was closed on or after a date that is more than 90 days ago. The associated live messages and member profile records will be deleted as well if the condition is met.
Due to the nature of this PRB, it is not straightforward to reproduce this issue.
In Utah Patch 5 and Vancouver releases, Servicenow has provided a fix for that issue. We recommend upgrading to a fixed version, but in case you cannot upgrade yet, and you are already on an impacted version, please follow these steps to avoid further deletions: Both of the records below should be disabled: Uncheck the Active file for the Auto Flush Table Cleaner rule (sys_auto_flush = 0e2209d93b3000109cbbcea234efc4f2) Uncheck the Active file for the Delete Related Data Business Rule (Business rule, sys_script = d4ca9f47371221009a80a0ffbe41f1fc) Utah Patch 5 and Vancouver provide this solution. FAQ: Q: Will this affect non-prod instances, prod instances, or both? A: Both. Q: Which are the versions impacted? A: All Utah releases below Utah Patch 5. Q: How can I avoid being impacted? A: If your instance is on pre-Utah, then you should upgrade directly to Utah Patch 5 or above. Q: Do I need to take any additional steps before or after upgrading to a fixed version after applying the workaround? A: No further action is needed if you applied the workaround.
