Some existing Discovery Classification records, such as Process Classification records from the Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns app, have an incompatible scope compared to the scope of the table referenced by the "table" field, which prevents them being updated, such as to deactivate them or when updating the Table value. The Table field of the Process Classification table (discovery_classy_proc) does not have the allow_public=true attribute, so the Table field is only allowed to reference a CMDB table that is in the same scope as the Process Classification record. This is specific to 'Table Name' type fields. The Table field is defined on parent table "Classification" [discovery_classy], and so this would affect any table classes extending that. That includes any Classification type (except SNMP OID):- Application Classification [discovery_classy_appl] CIM Classification [discovery_classy_cim] HTTP Classification [discovery_classy_http] Process Classification [discovery_classy_proc] Scan Results CI Classifier [discovery_classy_scan] Scan Results Application Classifier [discovery_classy_scan_app] SNMP Classification [discovery_classy_snmp] UNIX Classification [discovery_classy_unix] Windows Classification [discovery_classy_windows] Note: If you have this issue with SNMP OID Classification [discovery_snmp_oid], then the issue is PRB1475444/KB0953214, fixed in Rome. Out-of-box records that will be affected by this include: Fortinet Firewall: /discovery_classy_snmp.do?sys_id=00b024df53805010a4d0ddeeff7b12ad classifier scope: Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns, Table scope: CMDB CI Class Models Cloudian Server: /discovery_classy_unix.do?sys_id=0309ae5a1b55bc5caac15245624bcb0e classifier scope: Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns, Table scope: CMDB CI Class Models Zookeeper Process Classification: /discovery_classy_proc.do?sys_id=06d9ce7d1b29a450542a98efbd4bcbbd classifier scope: Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns, Table scope: CMDB CI Class Models Netscaler FreeBSD: /discovery_classy_unix.do?sys_id=0bbbe4d0db3b10100d475e35dc96198b classifier scope: Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns, Table scope: CMDB CI Class Models HPE BladeSystem Enclosure: /discovery_classy_snmp.do?sys_id=2deb26ae87337814b95dff78cebb351b classifier scope: Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns, Table scope: CMDB CI Class Models Netscaler FreeBSD: /discovery_classy_unix.do?sys_id=310305dcdbd0d05078a9ef92ca961911 classifier scope: Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns, Table scope: CMDB CI Class Models Kafka Broker Classification: /discovery_classy_proc.do?sys_id=3ad5a46b1b98a05c65d6a8ecbc4bcb80 classifier scope: Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns, Table scope: CMDB CI Class Models Palo Alto Firewall: /discovery_classy_snmp.do?sys_id=43831719dba8dcd47faf89584b9619ec classifier scope: Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns, Table scope: CMDB CI Class Models Juniper Firewall: /discovery_classy_snmp.do?sys_id=6922281353c05010a4d0ddeeff7b124c classifier scope: Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns, Table scope: CMDB CI Class Models Cisco Firewall: /discovery_classy_snmp.do?sys_id=72815355db68dcd47faf89584b961994 classifier scope: Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns, Table scope: CMDB CI Class Models Informix: /discovery_classy_proc.do?sys_id=73d8fe091396b200b9545a132244b07a classifier scope: Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns, Table scope: CMDB CI Class Models PureBladeByName: /discovery_classy_unix.do?sys_id=9789eadddb22f7801db0fd5e0f96199c classifier scope: Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns, Table scope: CMDB CI Class Models HMC Server: /discovery_classy_unix.do?sys_id=a3c07176ff7200009b77faa6497efeeb classifier scope: Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns, Table scope: CMDB CI Class Models EMC Isilon: /discovery_classy_snmp.do?sys_id=b3dddca2db6c9780e5adff78bf9619af classifier scope: Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns, Table scope: CMDB CI Class Models APIGee Classification: /discovery_classy_proc.do?sys_id=c68881cfdbe393049c0b27360596197b classifier scope: Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns, Table scope: CMDB CI Class Models Jboss Fuse: /discovery_classy_proc.do?sys_id=d08e54e9db36dbc07c6c568bdc961929 classifier scope: Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns, Table scope: CMDB CI Class Models Cassandra Instance: /discovery_classy_proc.do?sys_id=d0ccb90c1b7d10587e0e31901a4bcb5f classifier scope: Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns, Table scope: CMDB CI Class Models ColdFusion Application Server: /discovery_classy_proc.do?sys_id=d55f92cd13ec1300f0287f176144b0ef classifier scope: Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns, Table scope: CMDB CI Class Models Windows Generic Server: /discovery_classy_windows.do?sys_id=de2f30a689f16010f8771cc193c23534 classifier scope: Agent Client Collector Framework, Table scope: CMDB CI Class Models Oracle Golden Gate: /discovery_classy_proc.do?sys_id=f44ec66adbfee3001bde325f9d9619ac classifier scope: Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns, Table scope: CMDB CI Class Models Kafka Connect: /discovery_classy_proc.do?sys_id=febc69941bfd2cd0542a98efbd4bcb00 classifier scope: Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns, Table scope: CMDB CI Class Models Couchbase Instance: /discovery_classy_proc.do?sys_id=fee2578d1bcc4554ad19c995624bcbee classifier scope: Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns, Table scope: CMDB CI Class Models
