When customer creates a new update set and recreate the Allow Access Policy record in Adaptive Authentication, after the Policy Inputs records were created there is no relationship records captured in table "sys_authentication_policy_criteria_m2m" captured in the update set. This is because this M2M table is not designed to be inherited from sys_metadata table. Can confirm the table "sys_role_filter_criteria" which stores all the Policy Inputs records is inherited from metadata table and can be captured into the update set. This makes it impossible to migrate the Adaptive Authentication policy record to another target instance via update set.
On a base instance, create a new update set and set it as current. Navigate to menu Adaptive Authentication > Authentication Policies > Allow Access Policy. Open the 'Policy Inputs' tab and try to create two sample input records. Click the 'Update' button to Save the Allow Access Policy. Move the update set to completed. Observe that there is no relationship record in the 'sys_authentication_policy_criteria_m2m' table captured for the Policy Inputs records. However, records in the 'sys_role_filter_criteria' table can be captured. Export the created update set. Import the update set into another base instance. Preview and commit the update set. Notice that there are no Policy Inputs created on the target instance.
This problem has been Fixed. If you are able to upgrade, review the Fixed In section to determine the latest version with a permanent fix your instance can be upgraded to. For the existing sys_authentication_policy_criteria_m2m records, which are not captured in the current update set, manually run the following Glide fix job once to put those records in the current update set. Post execution the update set operation can be executed as it used to. Glide Fix: MoveFilterCriteriaM2mToUpdate Set Sys_Id: 8a9b37c7254a0110f877a8e0a3212fab Execute as follows: Navigate to Fix Scripts Search for MoveFilterCriteriaM2mToUpdateSet Open the record Click on 'Run Fix Script' Proceed in background. Note: Navigate to the current update set to confirm that all the sys_authentication_policy_criteria_m2m records are present in the update set.
