Catalog-Ui-Policies will fail to work in Rome Service Portal if the condition builder ('catalog_conditions') of the Policy contains the following: 5 or more characters in 'UPPER CASE' keywords or characters like: ">" "<" ANYTHING BETWEEN CHANGESFROM CHANGESTO CONTAINS DATEPART DOES_NOT_CONTAIN DOES_NOT_HAVE DYNAMIC ENDSUBQUERY ENDSWITH EQUALS EQUALTO EXCLUDING EXTERNAL_METHOD_OPERATOR EXTERNAL_PARAM_OPERATOR GREATER_THAN GROUPBY GT_FIELD GT_OR_EQUALS_FIELD GT_OR_EQUALS IN INSTANCEOF ISEMPTY ISEMPTYSTRING ISNOTEMPTY ITEM_VARIABLES_QUERY JOIN LABELS_QUERY LENGTH_QUERY LESS_THAN LESSTHAN LIKE LT_FIELD LT_OR_EQUALS_FIELD LT_OR_EQUALS MATCH_PAT MATCH_RGX MATCHES MORETHAN NOT_EQUALS NOT_IN NOT_LIKE NOT_MATCHES NOT_ON NSAMEAS ON ONE_IN ORDERBY ORDERBYDESC QUESTIONS_QUERY RELATIVE SAMEAS STARTSWITH SUBQUERY TRENDBY VALCHANGES VARIABLES_QUERY
In an affected instance: Go to Maintain items and open the catalog item Apple Watch Create a variable of type Select Box Add choices to the above variable with Value starting in upper case and with more than 5 characters Create a new UI Policy using the above choice in the condition builder (eg: type is 'Apple IPAD') Add UI policy actions to the UI policy created in step 5 Test the above catalog item 'Apple Watch' in portal using the link below
The UI policy is not working as expected in portal.
The UI policy should get triggered when the condition is met.
This problem has been fixed. If you are able to upgrade, review the Fixed In section to determine the latest version with a permanent fix your instance can be upgraded to. If a workaround is needed, create the following system property (sys_properties) record: Name: glide.sc.ui_policy.use_cache Type: true | false Value: false The UI policy cache was introduced in Rome Service Portal, deactivating it will not degrade the performance.
