HTML fields show up in activites filter as updated/modified without any actual changes being made. This only happens when you have a double space between 2 lines.
Add an HTML field to the incident form. Under the filter activity, make sure to add the HTML field. In the HTML field, add a vertical space between two paragraphs by entering 'text 1', pressing the Enter key two times, and entering 'text 2'. Save the form. Change any value on the form (for example, priority or assignment group). Save the form. Check the activity stream. Expected behavior: The HTML field should not show changes in the activity stream. Actual behavior: The HTML field show changes.
This problem has been fixed. If you are able to upgrade, review the Fixed In or Intended Fix Version fields to determine whether any versions have a planned or permanent fix.
