InCorrect Linux OS Name - "Oracle Linux 4/5/6 (64-bit)" updated during the discovery of Oracle Linux Server not corresponding to the release version. In Linux Server Pattern, Step number 6.1 run command and the output is stored in temp field called as release_output. Below is the contents of that variable. It is clearly captured the "Oracle Linux Server release 7.8" and "ORACLE_BUGZILLA_PRODUCT="Oracle Linux 7". Run a discovery on Oracle Linux Server 7.8. OS name is updated as Oracle Linux 4/5/6 (64-bit). Expected Value - Oracle Linux Server Actual Value - Oracle Linux 4/5/6 (64-bit)
This problem has been fixed. If you are able to upgrade, review the Fixed In or Intended Fix Version fields to determine whether any versions have a planned or permanent fix. Modified the pattern step "Extract OS distribution" to return the correct Linux OS Name (Expected Value - Oracle Linux Server) during the Oracle Linux server discovery.
