Due to changes implemented in Quebec EA, When installing an application from the ServiceNow store, a percentage of the memory is not released which over time can lead to JVM Memory overload thereby slowing down the instance until it is restarted. Steps to Reproduce 1. Navigate to System Definition > Plugins -Note the memory usage prior to the plugin activaction. 2. Activate any plugin (more evident with security plugins) 3. Tail the memory usage during the installation. 4. Notice how the memory doesn't go back down as expected. After installing about 15-20 store apps, the instance slows down considerably.
Unfortunately, there is no workaround available other than restarting the impacted instance. Please review the fixed targets and plan to upgrade the fixed Quebec version once it's available.
