Records will have broken unusable forms. This occurs on an instance using edge encryption when non encrypted text is appended to the front of encrypted text in a Journal type field, causing errors to appear in the log.
Using an instance with edge encryption Create a new incident, or locate an existing incident Create a new work note in the incident Take the problematic encrypted text and add the word "test" and a space in front of it, then save the work note Refresh the incident The activity stream is now hidden, and the majority of the UI actions and form fields do not work (nothing happens when clicking on them). The right-click actions at the top (next to hamburger) are also hidden.
Upgrade to a fixed targeted version. New York Patch 11, Orlando Patch 8, Paris Patch 2, Quebec. There is no manual workaround.
