The earliest recollection of this bug is traced back to PAN-OS 10.1.11 - February 19, 2025. This bug is fixed in PAN-OS versions 10.2.5, 10.1.11. ( VM-Series firewalls in Microsoft Azure environments only ) Fixed an issue where the brdagent process stopped responding due to missed heartbeats, which caused the firewall to reboot. This occurred when the brdagent process and DPDK-managed ports became out of sync after the Azure infrastructure triggered a hotplug event.
