This VMware vulnerability can potentially impact HPE SimpliVity Systems (HPE SimpliVity 380 Gen 9, HPE SimpliVity 380 Gen 10, HPE SimpliVity 380 Gen 10 G, HPE SimpliVity Gen 10 H, HPE SimpliVity 2600 Gen 10, SimpliVity OmniCube, SimpliVity OmniStack for Cisco, SimpliVity OmniStack for Lenovo and SimpliVity OmniStack for Dell nodes) managed by ESXi 6.5 / 6.7 / 7.0 version of vCenter software. The vSphere Client (HTML5) contains a remote code execution vulnerability due to lack of input validation in the Virtual SAN Health Check plug-in which is enabled by default in vCenter Server. A malicious actor with network access to port 443 may exploit these issue to execute commands with unrestricted privileges on the underlying operating system that hosts vCenter Server.
