Info
Cinder operations may not complete on Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) platforms running with OpenStack Cinder drivers configured to issue a high number of concurrent cinder requests.
The OpenStack community has not prescribed any particular set of benchmarks to describe "a high number of concurrent Cinder operations". While there are frameworks such as Rally (the OpenStack community performance measurement tool) to validate concurrency today, there are no specific acceptance criteria defined by the OpenStack community for Cinder concurrency. For more information about known issues with Cinder concurrency, see

.
NOTE: One or more of the links above will take you outside the Hewlett Packard Enterprise website. HPE does not control and is not responsible for information outside of the HPE website.
Scope
This issue affects OpenStack Cinder Provisioning and management operations using HPE 3PAR Cinder drivers.
Resolution
HPE is actively following the community and related developments in this area and shall incorporate driver related changes as and when they are available.
If your system experiences incomplete Cinder operations while using Cinder drivers, consider configuring the driver to issue fewer concurrent requests, based on your solution requirements.
