A lockfile named globalsettings.props.lck is used to control and protect access to this file. The lock file is usually created and removed in a very short period of time, but if for any reason the file is present while the SIM service is starting up, the startup will not progress until the file is removed. Note: During the normal operation of HPE SIM, the following messages may be reported to the mxdomainmanager log files. Any HPE ProLiant server configured with HPE Systems Insight Manager (SIM) Version 7.5.
Upgrade HPE System Insight Manager (SIM) to version 7.6 LR1 (or later) to address this issue. As a workaround, perform the steps below: Stop HPE SIM Inspect the globalsettings.props file and confirm that the file is intact in Windows: \Program Files\HP\Systems Insight Manager\config\globalsettings.props If the file is corrupted, restore a good copy from the backup. Delete the lock file from the following location: Windows: C:\Program Files\HP\Systems Insight Manager\config\globalsettings.props.lck Start HPE SIM RECEIVE PROACTIVE UPDATES : Receive support alerts (such as Customer Advisories), as well as updates on drivers, software, firmware, and customer replaceable components, proactively via e-mail through HPE Subscriber's Choice.
