An issue has been identified on Hewlett Packard Enterprise StoreOnce 2700, 2900, 4500, and 4700 backup systems running controlled release software Version 3.15.0 or released software v3.15.1 where, after a system reboot, the StoreOnce system Firmware Management Tool (FMT) may show that the Power Management Controller (shown as Power_Mgmt_Ctlr) requires an upgrade from firmware version 0.0 to version 3.3. This is a reporting error only as there is no firmware version 0.0; however, the StoreOnce system will perform the firmware upgrade if it is initiated.
NOTE: This reporting issue will not affect the performance of the StoreOnce system.
:
Following is an example of the issue reported by the StoreOnce CLI command
hardware show firmware node.
Performing an upgrade of the firmware, which requires a reboot of the system, should correct the issue and display the firmware version as 3.3, as shown below:
NOTE: If the system is restarted again, or repeatedly after the issue is resolved, it is possible that the Power_Mgmt_Ctlr firmware version will incorrectly display as version 0.0 again. This may happen without running FMT prior to the reboot.
:
Scope
This issue affects the following HPE StoreOnce backup systems:
BB877A - HPE StoreOnce 2700 Backup
BB910A - HPE StoreOnce 2900 Backup

BB879A - HPE StoreOnce 4700 Backup
Resolution
If multiple StoreOnce system reboots are a common practice, and this issue continues to occur, contact HPE support for assistance.
NOTE:
Products sold prior to the November 1, 2015 separation of Hewlett-Packard Company into Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company and HP Inc. may have older product names and model numbers that differ from current models.
