The HPE StoreVirtual Centralized Management Console (CMC) requires an update to accommodate a change in the location from which StoreVirtual software and patches are downloaded. The new download site is currently active. The old site will be decommissioned on 15 September 2016. Without the update described below, the CMC Online Upgrades feature will cease to function as of 15 September 2016.
The CMC may be used to manage the following appliance and software products or components:
HP StoreVirtual 4000 Storage
HP P4000 G2 SAN Storage
HPE StoreVirtual VSA 2014 Software
HP StoreVirtual VSA Software
HP LeftHand P4000 Virtual SAN Appliance Software
HP ConvergedSystem 24x-HC StoreVirtual System
HP ConvergedSystem 250-HC StoreVirtual System
HPE Hyper Converged 250 Systems
HPE Hyper Converged 380 Systems
Scope
The required update applies to the HPE StoreVirtual CMC versions 12.6 and earlier.
Resolution
Before 15 September 2016, use the Online Upgrades feature to upgrade the Centralized Management Console to version 12.6.00, build 0162.0, which will be available by 31 August 2016. The full version and build numbers can be verified on the About page:

After 15 September 2016, when the old download site is decommissioned, the latest CMC can be downloaded and installed from Software Depot:

Enter your customer information, agree to the license terms, and click
Next

Enter your HPE Passport credentials. If you do not have an HPE Passport, you can learn more about and create your HPE Passport at

bar.
Along the top of the software download list, select whether to use the HPE Download Manager or a Standard Download.
In the list of software downloads, find the HPE StoreVirtual Centralized Management Console for Windows or Linux, depending on the system hosting the CMC. Click
Download
and save the files.
Double-click the .exe or .bin file to begin the installation. Follow the installer instructions. The installer will remove any previous CMC versions before installing the new version.
NOTE: You may need to enable the .bin file as an executable on a Linux system. To do this:
Right-click on the .bin file and select
Properties

Select the
Permissions
tab.
Check the checkbox, near the bottom, labeled
Allow executing file as program
.
Click
Apply Permissions
and close the Properties Window.
