After a firmware update using HPE Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) and/or driver update from the operating system on an HPE ProLiant c-Class Server Blade configured with Qlogic NX2 adapters in a Virtual Connect (VC) or other environment, any or all of the following issues may occur: The adapter port will not display the link. The adapter port will display the link but it will not transmit data. The adapter will have port(s) that are missing in the (PF9) System Configuration utility. Ensure the "Network Partitioning" (NPAR) feature is not configured in the BIOS for the QLogic NX2 adapters in a Virtual Connect (VC) environment and disable it if the feature is configured. This feature is used to partition adapter ports that are not in a VC environment. For more information about the issues with the NPAR feature in a VC environment, refer to Customer Advisory c04942515, HP Server Adapters - Multiple Issues May Occur When Network Partitioning Is Enabled On Qlogic NX2 Adapters On Servers In a Virtual Connect Environment .
