On an HPE ProLiant Gen9 Series server, Unicode characters will display incorrectly when the Embedded Diagnostics Mode is "Text Console" and the language is set to anything other than English.
Text console mode depends on the glyphs included in the System ROM. The System ROM for space constrains does not copy all the glyphs in the Unicode font.
When this issue occurs, there will be missing characters in the string printed by the application and this will occur in all versions of the Embedded UEFI Diagnostics software.

Any HPE ProLiant Gen9 server.
Resolution
This fix was deployed in Embedded Diagnostics 6.2, which is available in Intelligent Provisioning versions 2.50, 2.60, 2.61, and 2.70.

Enter a product name (e.g., "DL380 Gen9") in the text search field and wait for a list of products to populate. From the products displayed, identify the desired product and click on the
Drivers & software
icon to the right of the product.
From the Drivers & software dropdown menus on the left side of the page:
Select the appropriate Operating System
Select the Software Sub Type – Software
Select the latest release of
HPE Intelligent Provisioning Recovery Media.
Note: To ensure the latest version will be downloaded, click on the Revision History tab to check if a new version is available.
Click
Download

As a workaround, only select English during the language selection.
