HP ProLiant WS460c Graphics Server Blades with an Intel Xeon E5-2620 V2 Processor and a System ROM prior to version 2013.12.30 may fail to boot after installing an NVIDIA Quadro K3100M 4GB Graphics Card.
Note: The NVIDIA Quadro K3100M 4GB Graphics Card requires a minimum System ROM of version 2013.12.30. Newer systems ship with the updated System ROM
Scope
Any HP ProLiant WS460c Gen8 Graphics Server Blade with an Intel Xeon E5-2620 V2 Processor.
Resolution
Before installing/ reinstalling an NVIDIA Quadro K3100M 4GB Graphics Card on an HP ProLiant WS460c Gen8 Graphics Server Blade, download and install the ROMPAQ USB Boot Tool and the Single Point Solution Online ROM Flash Component for Microsoft Windows Server or for Linux operating systems, available at the following URLs:
