An HPE QLogic Fibre Channel Adapter firmware update failure message may be observed when an update is performed in the HPE OneView profile or HPE OneView for VMware vCenter (OV4VC) on any HPE Synergy Gen10 or Gen10 Plus server configured with an HPE QLogic Synergy 5830C 32G Adapter booting with VMware vSphere ESXi 9.0 or ESXi 9.1.The firmware update completes; however, the adapter does not report the updated firmware version until after a reboot, which causes HPE OneView to report the firmware update as failed.The following image shows an example of the failure message:

This issue will be resolved in a future version of HPE OneView. This advisory will be updated when a solution is available.Workaround:As a workaround, reboot the server so that the adapter displays the updated firmware version.
