iLORest-based queries are blocked if Windows Device Guard/Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC) is enabled. This is due to some embedded files bundled in iLORest having Windows code-signing certificates that expired and libraries that are not signed, including files from released Python.Note: Earlier versions of iLORest may also fail to run when installed on Windows systems.Device Guard/WDAC is enabled due to an expired Windows code-signing certificate.
The following versions of iLORest are affected:iLORest v7.1.0iLORest v7.0.0iLORest v6.3.0iLORest v6.2.0iLORest v6.0.0
As a workaround, HPE recommends updating the Device Guard/WDAC allowlist policies by adding the latest hash values for the affected files. This allows the files as a trusted source and enables successful completion of iLORest queries. This advisory will be updated when further updates are available.
Operating Systems Affected:Microsoft Windows Server 2016, Microsoft Windows Server 2019, Microsoft Windows Server 2022, Microsoft Windows Server 2025
