When the checkhealth utility is run with the -full option on HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 systems, it may cause conflicts with active array processes. The conflict may interrupt or interfere with normal array operations while the -full check is executing.
HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 running software versions 10.4.x and 10.5.x is affected by this issue.
This issue will be resolved in a future release of HPE B10000 software. This advisory will be updated when a solution is available.Workaround:Do not use the -full option when running checkhealth on impacted systems. Instead, use the -svc option which performs service-level checks without causing conflicts with array processes.Example:Avoid: checkhealth -fullUse: checkhealth -svcIf you must perform more comprehensive diagnostics, update or schedule maintenance windows where array processes can be safely paused or where the potential impact is acceptable, and coordinate with HPE support.VERIFICATION AND LOGGINGAfter running checkhealth with -svc, verify system health and review logs for any anomalies. If you observe issues or if a -full check is required and fails to complete, collect relevant logs and open an HPE support case.
