In a situation where the default gateway MAC address changes on the network HPE Integrated Lights-Out 5 (iLO 5) is connected to, iLO 5 may still use the old gateway MAC address, even if a gratuitous ARP (GARP) announcing the change is sent by the router. The default gateway's MAC address could change in several situations including, but not limited to:router/firewall hardware replacementvirtual gateway IP is moved between physical devices via high availability or load balancing protocols such as HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, etc.load balancer or NAT device changes
Any HPE system running any iLO 5 firmware version.
A fix is not currently planned for iLO 5. As a workaround, restart iLO 5 after the gateway change.
