Description

Summary

HPE Integrated Lights-Out 7 (iLO 7) virtual NIC interface is not started on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP6 on an HPE Synergy Gen12 compute module. The Virtual NIC will report that it is down and configuring DHCP is required.This is functioning as designed.

Scope

Any HPE Synergy Gen12 compute module running SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP6.

Resolution

Follow the steps in the iLO 7 User Guide or use SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP6.Configuring IP for the Virtual NIC - SLES commands | HPE iLO 7 User Guide
