When configuring the Directory Server Settings in HPE Integrated Lights Out 7 (iLO 7) with an IPv6 LDAP server address, the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) Server Port field can be overwritten with part of the IPv6 address (for example, the second tuple), and the Server Address may be displayed truncated in the iLO 7 web interface. The issue occurs both when using the web interface and when setting the address via the iLO RESTful API.When this occurs, any of the following may be observed:The Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) Port value is unexpectedly changed to a numeric segment from the IPv6 address.The Server Address field in the iLO 7 web interface may be truncated and therefore not appear as the full IPv6 address.LDAP authentication or directory connectivity may fail or be misconfigured as a result.Below is an example using the Restful Interface Tool:The Server address may also be truncated in the iLO 7 web interface:
Any HPE system with iLO 7 firmware v1.18 (or earlier).
Manually reset the LDAP server port to the correct Value.
