On HPE Gen11 and HPE Gen12 systems configured with an Intel processor with VROC (Virtual RAID Over CPU) NVME configuration enabled in the UEFI System utilities (RBSU), and the Direct Attach Drives configured to the Intel VMD (Volume Management Device), the "Firmware & OS Software" page of HPE Integrated Lights-Out 7 (iLO 7) will display duplicate entries of the VROC configured NVMe Drive. The VROC configured NVMe drives are actually the Direct Attached Drives to iLO, the "Firmware & OS Software" tab will contain the Firmware information of Direct Attached Drive obtained by iLO 7 and the Drive Information obtained via Redfish from VROC controller. This does not affect the operation or functionality of the system.
Gen 11 and Gen 12 Intel based systems with VROC over NVME Configuration Enabled in BIOS and NVMe drives configured to VMD.
This does not affect the operation or functionality of the system as only a duplicate firmware information of NVMe Drives that are managed by VROC are listed in the "Firmware & OS Software" page of iLO 7 Web Interface. This is targeted to be resolved in a future version of the iLO 7 firmware. This advisory will be updated when additional information is available.
