For any HPE ProLiant Compute XD685 systems, firmware flashing operations may be disabled when running iLO 6 versions 1.68 through 1.70. This issue occurs due to a regression in the firmware update subsystem that prevents a successful image validation, and write operations during flashing attempts. The following is the impact of this issue:Firmware update workflows using standard flashing methods (e.g., RESTful API, iLO CLI, or HPE SUM) will fail silently or return validation errors.Automated deployment pipelines relying on iLO 6 flashing will be interrupted. No workaround is currently available for restoring flashing functionality on the affected versions.IMPORTANT:For any HPE ProLiant Compute XD685 running the affected iLO 6 versions, Do Not attempt component firmware flashing. Refer to the Resolution section for additional information.
