On any HPE ProLiant Gen10, Gen10 Plus, Gen11 or Gen12 server configured with the NVIDIA Ethernet Adapters for HPE listed in the Scope section below; the network adapters require a minimum firmware version (22.38.1002) to update to the latest firmware version.Firmware versions earlier than 22.38.1002 do not support Platform Level Data Model (PLDM / .fwpkg) firmware updates.If a minimum firmware version (22.38.1002) is not installed, and a firmware update is attempted, the following error is experienced:

To resolve this issue, perform the following steps:Update to firmware 22.38.1002 available at the following URL:Mellanox Firmware Package(FWPKG) for HPE NV60100M 100Gb 2-port Storage Offload Adapter Version 22.38.1002After the firmware has been updated to version 22.38.1002, the network adapter can then be updated to a later firmware version.Note:Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) version 2024.04.00 can be used to flash the network adapter firmware.
