Updating the iLO 7 firmware is required on HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 systems to automatically create the iLO 7 backup firmware image to avoid an unrecoverable condition in case of iLO 7 firmware corruption.This can be performed by updating the same version of iLO 7 firmware image, or an update to the current iLO 7 firmware version. This will create an iLO 7 backup firmware image in iLO NAND.This process ensures a reliable recovery mechanism in case of a corrupted iLO firmware.
