The management network of a Virtual Machine (VM2) cloned from an existing Virtual Machine (VM1) may become unreachable when this new cloned Virtual Machine (VM2) is powered on for the first time.This occurs when a vSAN ESA cluster using VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.0 via Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) Manager is deployed on any HPE Synergy 480 Gen11 Compute Module or HPE Synergy 480 Gen12 Compute Module running VMware ESXi 9.0, and configured with an HPE Synergy 6310C 25/50Gb Ethernet Adapter (P64724-B21), and the whole VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) deployment is setup successfully.The first Virtual Machine (VM1) created in the management or worker domain gets the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) IP address successfully; but once other Virtual (VM2) is cloned from the first Virtual Machine (VM1), the management network of the Virtual Machine (VM2) may become unreachable when this Virtual Machine is powered on for the first time.
Any HPE Synergy 480 Gen11 Compute Module or HPE Synergy 480 Gen12 Compute Module running VMware ESXi 9.0, and configured with an HPE Synergy 6310C 25/50Gb Ethernet Adapter (P64724-B21) with Virtual Machines created on a vSAN ESA cluster using VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.0 via Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) Manager.
